Andrew had another CAT scan and angiogram yesterday. The results showed another brain aneurysm on the left side of the brain. The doctors say it is very small and plan to do surgery next Wednesday. Right now he has two blood clots – one in his right leg and one in his left shoulder. They are hoping after this next surgery, they can remove the tube from his brain and give him a full dose of blood thinners to help with the blood clots.

Besides the blood clots and second aneurysm, Andrew is hanging in there and fighting. He is awake more and more each day. Both eyes are open and track fairly well. He can move his head and left side of the body just like us. Unfortunately, we have not seen the right side move as much. But this side will probably need more rehabilitation due to the left side of the brain being effected.

The doctors and surgeon are amazed at his progress and can’t believe he’s even alive at all – let alone moving and responding to others. He has breathed on his own without the help of the respirator for 12 hours. And is looking more like his normal self (minus the tubes).

The doctors thought they might try sitting him up in a chair and are hoping to move him out of ICU in the near future.

Keep the prayers going – because miracles do happen! Andrew is fighting to come back to us!
