Andrew is pretty melancholy today. My parents said he looked so sad when they walked in his room this morning. His therapies are going well. He did not pass his swallowing test, so they are only giving him small amounts of pudding and baby food for rewards after speech therapy. He did have the cap covering his trache valve today for about the entire day today. So that is great news! He is breathing more on his own.

I talked to Andrew again today on the phone. I told him that I heard he was sad, but to keep fighting. He is doing a great job and making wonderful progress. Everyone is cheering him on and to just keep working hard. I told him that Jen, Mya, and I would be out soon to see him and that I love him. Although he couldn’t talk back, my Dad said he opened his mouth as if he tried. I am just hoping he knows what I said and takes it to heart.
