Andrew has had a good couple of days. He is more relaxed and is awake for about half the day and a sleep for about half the day. Yesterday the physical therapist (or occupational) started working with him on how to swallow. They are still exercising his limbs at least three times a day.
His eyes are following more to the right and center today, which is great since they usually stay more to the left. The nurses put him in a hospital chair (similar to a twin bed) and are having him sit up for a couple of hours today. He does have to wear a helmet (which is not his favorite thing according to my Dad). But Andrew has still been moving his left side regularly. My Dad said he put his hand on my Dad’s shoulder and touched my Aunt Gail’s necklace when she was near him.
My parents are doing well. They said they would try to post their own response in the guestbook section later today (if they can figure it out). They read your comments daily and appreciate everything that you say. Right now, they are still staying at a hotel, but my Aunt Jane’s friend has offered a place for them to stay which they are thinking of taking advantage of soon.
Andrew’s next aneursym surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 28th. They are not sure of the time. This is Andrew’s 25th birthday as well. That has to be a good luck sign!
