It’s been another rough day here in CA. Andrew hasn’t been feeling very well lately. He’s been sleeping a lot and not wanting to eat much. Andrew ate part of his breakfast and part of his lunch with my parents encouragement. He really didn’t want to eat anything. He’s made it three days without getting sick and then today threw up his lunch.
Most of the day he slept. He didn’t have any of his therapies today since it was Sunday and wasn’t interested in watching TV either.
Tonight the nurses found blood in his urine, which now adds another concern. They called in the doctor on-call, who decided to catheterize him for the night. They are hoping the catheter will flush it out of his system. We are not sure what is causing this either. His regular doctor will be back in tomorrow to check on him and they have asked a urologist to come in and take a look at him as well. The GI is still scheduled to come in sometime this week – we are thinking Tuesday.
Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Even though he is back in the rehabilitation part of the facility, he is not out of the woods. Hopefully the doctors will find what is causing these things, so that Andrew can start feeling better soon.
