Andrew had a better day today. He was smiling more and even played thumb wars with my Dad. My parents helped him with his physical therapy twice today. My brother kept trying to put his hand on his head and my Dad kept pushing his hand down so that he wouldn’t mess with it. Apparently, it upset my brother after awhile, because he got angry and pushed my Dad away. My Dad had to restrain his arm so that he wouldn’t hurt himself by touching his head. But he was excited that Andrew showed a little bit of himself and frustration with not being able to touch his head. We are all sure it must be hard on Andrew and itches and hurts pretty bad. Hopefully it will heal soon!

Last night Mom and Dad were treated to a wonderful pot roast dinner from my Aunt Jane’s friends. They really enjoyed some nice home-cooked comfort food. My parents are enjoying their studio apartment, but found my brother’s bed too uncomfortable. Hopefully they will get a better night’s rest tonight.

My Dad said that the surgeon told him that Andrew’s progress was fabulous. They are actually considering moving him to a rehabilitation center sooner then they thought. They are just trying to find a center close to their new studio apartment that will take him with a trachea tube and stomach tube. We will keep you posted.

My Mom said that they ran into his old doctor, in the elevator, from the ICU and he mentioned how much he missed Andrew. He told my parents to bring Andrew by the hospital after he has made some more improvements in his recovery. The doctors and nurses were all amazed at how wonderful Andrew was and the progress he made while in their care.

Things are really looking more positive and Andrew is improving each day! Thanks for your continued prayers!
