My whole family would like to give a big thank you to all who have donated and/or attended the benefit held in my brother’s honor at Turners.  Your love and support has really helped us get through this tragedy.  We never expected a benefit to take place and are very grateful for our Turner family who put it all together.  The Turner benefit Saturday night was a huge success.  We were amazed at how many of our friends and family (co-workers included) came to show their support.  If only my brother and Dad could have attended.  We shared the night’s events with them the moment we got home.  Dad is very sorry he couldn’t attend, but wanted to send his thanks as well.  Words cannot express how grateful we are and how much you all mean to us.  Thank you again to everyone for everything!  Photos from the event will be posted throughout the next few weeks on this website:  www.andrewdavis.benefit.com.

All of our continued prayers are continuing to paying off.  Andrew has been doing very well these past few days.  He has not gotten sick since last Wednesday.  He has been doing very well during his therapies and seems more alert with each day.  Dad says he rarely takes naps now and when he does they are short.

As of last week, they were going to test him to see if he still had fluid on the brain and/or he wasn’t digesting his food.  These tests were to see if that was what was making him sick.  Now that he hasn’t gotten sick in five days we are not sure if they are still going to be testing him.  I’ll keep you posted.

Mom made it home safely to Fort Wayne late Thursday night and has been very busy with the benefit, getting things done around the house, meeting with friends, and running errands.  She will be leaving tomorrow at 7 in the morning and will arrive back in CA sometime in the afternoon.

On Wednesday Mom and Dad are planning on staying at a hospital apartment with Andrew to prepare for the big move Friday.  The apartment is in the hospital and allows my parents to take care of Andrew like they would at their apartment.  The difference is there is a call button that my parents can push if they need assistance with nurses.  It’s kind of like a rehearsal.  They are hoping everything goes well and Andrew will be able to return home with them this Friday.  They will be staying in my parents apartment in Downey and looking into outpatients services at Rancho for Andrew.  We will keep you posted.

Thanks again for all of your love and support!  We might have been able to get through this ordeal somehow, but it definitely wouldn’t have been the same!  You all keep us going with your generosity, encouraging words, and prayers.
